  • FQHCs are nonprofit clinics that serve patients regardless of immigration status or ability to pay.

    Steps:

     

    • Enter your city or ZIP code.
       

    • Filter for “Sliding Fee” and “Primary Health Care.”
       

    • Contact the clinic to ask about language services and refugee-specific programs.

2.  Look for County Safety-Net Clinics

 

Los Angeles County has their own list of clinics and public hospitals that serves all needs

3. Examples of hospitals that accept RMA and Medi-Cal

This includes Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), refugee health assessment clinics, and safety-net hospitals:

1. Central Health Center (Los Angeles)
  • Refugee Health Assessment Program (RHAP) clinic serving newly arrived refugees and entrants in Los Angeles County.
     

  • Location: 241 N. Figueroa Ave., Suite 254, Los Angeles.
     

  • Offers comprehensive health assessments and referrals.

     

2. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital (MLK-LA)
  • A public community hospital serving South Los Angeles, with emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and general services.
     

  • Patients with Medi-Cal (and likely RMA) are served with little to no out-of-pocket cost.

     

3. UMMA Community Clinic (South Los Angeles)
  • An FQHC providing integrated primary care and behavioral health to underserved populations, regardless of the patient's status or ability to pay.
